We were asked to help with a family house who have a son that’s a wheelchair user, he was struggling to get around the house layout as it was, so a full width extension was built on the back of the house with a large section of original wall was taken out to create a larger kitchen and living area all interior doors were widened and some made into sliding doors, even the family dog got a new little house under the stairs, the garden was levelled out to make more outside space reflagged and artificial grass laid too. The front entrance door was replaced wider and with no step, all the work we did to the property has made it fully accessible for him to become more independent, the kitchen has a two metre long rise and fall work top with the sink and hob within it, so there is no stopping him now from being apart of the family and no excuses not to wash up!
