Here we created a spacious bedroom for a full-time wheelchair user who can transfer independently, therefore not needing much in the way of specialist equipment i.e. hoist etc. We designed the wardrobe space with full length sliding mirrored doors enabling the user to fully utilise the mirrors which also makes the room look larger and light. The sliding doors are ideal for wheelchair users as they are much easier to use than a hung door. Internally we chose low easy access pull out shoe & trouser racks with drop down hanging rails.

The bedroom was built to provide lots of space around the clients bed with easy use of standard drawers and dressing table. We fitted a low pile carpet to make pushing the wheelchair easy but also added some luxury to the room. This bedroom works for both our client and partner. They are thrilled with their new bedroom.
