Adapted Living is a family run business with a wealth of personal experience creating domestic adaptions that work for you. A space where all your personal needs and preferences have been included in the design. Off the shelf kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms are quite often ill suited to people with unique needs however speciality products can cost the earth!

At Adapted Living we have the experience and knowledge to adapt the design of your home to suit your own personal needs, with a little imagination and careful design to work for you but still look great. We start the process by getting to know your wish list. As only you really know what really works and doesn’t work for you in your home, so you’re the person we listen to. Then we bring our experience and knowledge to collaborate with you.

As I have previously said we have personal experience of adaptations as our daughter sustained life-changing injuries as a result of an accident which left her paralysed. We then had to make many changes to our family home so that it worked for our daughter and also the rest of the family.

We are therefore very conscious of the design element in making your home work and look fantastic without looking clinical as many adaptations sometimes do.

I myself am a builder and joiner with over 25 years experience in the trade. I also had an unfortunate accident two years ago and broke my back but luckily escaped spinal damage. I was very fortunate that my injury was not life-changing unlike my daughter but with some rehabilitation and patience, I managed to get back fully fit and committed to the job I love. My own injury has made me understand even more fully the difficulty that daily life can be for others and helping to improve this for my clients is extremely rewarding.
